The Job:

This job is not for everyone.

It may sound like the dream job travelling the Garden Route of South Africa up to Mozambique, with a small group of excited guests, surfing and soaking up all that these magnificent countries have to offer, but living the dream comes at a price and there’s always problems in Paradise.

The right person will need to act as a welcoming point of call throughout the trips, as well as being a fully qualified ISA Level 1 Surf Instructor. You will be the ultimate vibe creator, a role model, an agony aunt, a therapist at times. Knowledge of the Ticket to Ride brand is essential and experience of working and living in developing countries is a distinct advantage.

The main aim of this role is to exceed guests’ expectations by delivering a high quality experience. Your surf coaching skills must be credible enough to get the group prepared to take their ISA Level 1 exam at the end of the course. You will also lead excursions, have meals with the guests and ultimately keep the vibes strong.

The role has the potential to become year round employment taking you from South Africa to Indonesia to Sri Lanka. The right people tend to stick around in the Ticket to Ride team for many years ‘Living the Dream’.
