Surely that’s not possible?! Surely you have to be a really good snowboarder to be able to teach others and become an instructor?! It is true you would need to work hard but we think it is possible to go from beginner snowboarder to instructor in one season and we have combined two of our courses this season in Meribel to offer a brand new ZERO TO HERO package for anyone who wants to give it a go!
Maybe you are already a competent surfer or skater and have always wanted to transfer this to the snow? Maybe you have skied before but prefer the thought of teaching snowboarding? Here is our guide to how to change your world in one winter season…
Step 1 – Learn to Snowboard
Beginners Snowboard Camp Meribel
16th – 23rd December 2018 – £1,095
This trip is designed to arrange everything you need to have a great week learning to snowboard. It includes:
- Catered accommodation in a shared room in the Mountain Lodge
- Breakfast each day and dinner 6 nights a week
- 3 Valleys Lift Pass
- Group snowboard lessons from Mon-Fri (2 hrs of lessons a day)
- Snowboard & boots hire
- Return transfers from Geneva airport on set group transfer (leaving GVA at 15:00 on 16th and arriving GVA at 11:00 on 23rd Dec)
Step 2 – Practice Makes Perfect!
You could then stay with us in the Lodge over Christmas and New Year, practise your snowboarding, maybe ask for your own snowboard and boots for Christmas so you don’t need to hire anymore? There are always plenty of people around in the sociable Lodge, including our incredible staff team who would be more than happy to take you out riding.
The learning curve for snowboarding is steep but it means in only a matter of weeks of solid riding you can improve A LOT!
You could even pop home for Christmas too if you didn’t want to miss it. Then come back for an awesome New Years celebrations in Meribel and a couple of weeks of riding.
Step 3 – Start your training to become an instructor
11 week BASI Level 1 & 2 Snowboard Instructor Course, Meribel
13th Jan – 30th March 2019 – £8,395
The classic snowboard instructor course in the amazing 3 Valleys ski area! Join us on the only BASI course with coaching by a dedicated snowboard school.
Course includes:
- Airport transfers
- Centrally-located chalet accommodation close to pistes (twin share)
- Breakfast each day and dinner 6 nights a week
- Full season 3 Valleys lift pass
- All training with top snowboard school RTM
- BASI Level 1 exam fee (BASI Level 2 = £660 to be paid in Feb)
- First aid, child protection module and shadowing to complete your BASI exams
- Ticket To Ride snowboard jacket
TOTAL PRICE
£1,095 – Beginners week
£1,365 – 3 weeks of accommodation in the Mountain Lodge (optional and can adapt to how much you would like, or you can go home during this period)
£8,395 – 11 week BASI Level 1 & 2 Snowboard Instructor Course
– £260 for lift pass as you would have a season lift pass to cover the whole stay
– £100 for booking multiple courses
Total – £10,495
You can reserve your place on this course online with just a £95 deposit, the remainder of the balance can then be paid in instalments with a flexible payment plan, to be settled before departure.
