Overview

A course aimed at advanced riders looking to push their skills to new levels, whilst learning to ride and read the backcountry safely and with style.

The Advanced Technical and Intro to Freeride camp is designed as the progression from our technical performance workshop to the Freeride Explorer and our adventure series of camps.

This course is aimed at those of you who have done 10-20 weeks on snow. You can snowboard precisely and confidently on all pistes in a variety of conditions, but you have none or limited off-piste experience. You are looking to explore some steeper terrain and tree runs and want to learn some backcountry skills in the hope of discovering what the best powder day of your life feels like.

We will take the skills learned from the performance workshop (if you haven't taken part in this course no worries, as long as you're confident your riding ability is at the level for the course) and develop them into an all-mountain environment, understanding how to adapt your technique and introduce new skills necessary to tackle varied terrain and anything the mountain throws at you from bumps to ice and deep snow

While continuing your all-round development as a rider we will look at how we identify good freeride terrain and how we assess the safety of a particular area. We will also learn about the safety equipment used when riding backcountry.

Throughout the week we will discover the amazing terrain available in the 3 valleys and look at how we can turn the whole mountain into a playground. You will learn how to ride steeper terrain, tree runs, and powder.

Boost your board control, increase the flow and learn how to powder slash like a boss
