Cycle and surf through some of the best spots SW France has to offer!
Open to all ages and levels of cyclist and surfers, this hassle-free cycle and surfing holiday will take you through the pine forests, surfing the beautiful beaches of SW France, fuelled by classic French cuisine and sleeping in comfortable private tents. The perfect holiday for the aspiring adventure enthusiast and will include a maximum of 40km per day.
We'll take the stress out of cycling with our mobile team following you the whole way making sure the trip goes as seamless as possible.
What to Expect
We will cycle to each spot carrying only daily supplies. The Ticket to Ride support vehicle will carry all camping equipment, surfboards and baggage and will await us at each camp for the evening where we will surf, eat, sleep, repeat.
You'll get the chance to surf some of the famous beach breaks of SW France and experience some classic European cycling routes.
The accommodation will be set up for you everyday upon arrival to our camp sites on route. The tents will be extremely comfortable with everything you need including a mattress to get a good nights sleep on after full day of cycling and surfing.
Surfing Equipment We will be bringing a quiver of boards and wetsuits in our mobile support vehicle so you can surf everyday
All meals These will be made and prepared by our experienced ticket to ride team to make sure you have plenty of energy for the trip
Bikes Bikes aren't included, but can be hired for £100 for the trip.

Arrival in Bordeaux 1 DayAfter arriving in Bordeaux you'll get your transfer to the first camp site in Lege Cap Ferret. We'll spend the first evening getting to know your fellow riders and running through the exciting plan and itinerary for the up and coming week.
Lege Cap Ferret to Biscarosse Plage 1 DayOur first days ride will be 40km to get the legs nicely warmed up for the week. Starting from our initial base of Lege Cap Ferret we'll work down to Biscarosse Place where the Ticket to Ride support team will have everything waiting for you.
Biscarosse Plage to Mimizan 1 DayThe second day is a little easier with a 30km ride to tackle on our way further south to Mimizan Plage. Mimizan is surround by stunning pine tree forests and has fun waves perfect for all abilities.
Mimizan Plage to Moliets 1 DayA dawnie morning surf will set you up for the longest distance of the week; 50km. The designated cycle path is flat, smooth, surrounded by pine trees and we will go at a comfortable pace to suit everyone in the group.
Moliets to Hossegor 1 DayThe forth day of riding is a shorter 42km and we'll heading towards the world famous Hossegor. Hossegor is the home of European Surfing and you will understand why...
Hossegor to Biarritz 1 DayThis is a different 40km in the saddle as we vier away from 'Le Pin Sec' and pick up the pace in some different terrain. Equally as beautiful and Biarritz is the cherry on top.
Final Day 1 DayOn your final day you'll get a chance to rest your legs and enjoy as much time in the water as you can. If you don't want to surf you can simply take in the south western bench culture and relax. You'll then be taken to Biarritz airport to catch your flight home.
We can transport your bike if you drop it off to our Newquay or Exeter offices.
There will be laundry facilities at most camp sites. We tend to wash kit every 2 days.
France and Spain have some of the best naughty treats in the World, think cheese, bread, croissants, meat. However our in house chef can cater to any dietary requirements.
Traditional surf lessons aren’t on the itinerary and we do ask that surfers are competent in surfing on their own. However TTRide staff are qualified lifeguards and surf instructors and we will be all surfing together,so you will receive advice, tips and techniques all week from trained professionals.
The support vehicle will have full bike servicing equipment however you are required to bring any cycling clothing you may want to wear.
A general level of good fitness is required. You don’t have to be a cycle enthusiast, but be able to ride a bike and be up for a challenge.
This particular cycle tour is designed with the beginner cyclist in mind so none of the routes are difficult and anyone with a general level of fitness should be fine.
If you’re coming from the London areas get the St Pancreas train to Bordeaux. Or you can collapse your bike, box it up and fly.

Yes we will provide boards, please let us know what size board you would like to ride ideally
No we don't include bicyles. It's not too gruelling a cycle however and any road worthy bike will get you through.
Bike hire will be available in France upon arrival at an extra cost. Notify your sales agent upon booking and we'll make sure logistics are sorted on the ground.
