Arrival in Bordeaux 1 DayAfter your arrival into Bordeaux you will be transferred to your first camp site in Lacanau to meet the rest of your fellow Riders and maybe even get an evening surf in!
Lacanau to Biscarosse Plage 1 Day60 miles - Wake up surf, cycle all day, chilled camp vibes in the evening. 60 miles may sound like a long slog for day one but it's a flat route through the start of the beautiful Landes region of SW France.
Biscarosse Plage to Mimizan Plage 1 Day58 miles - Here we will go inland slightly, but you will still be breathing in the fresh sea air mixed in with the pine trees for most of the day. Upon arrival in Mimizan, we will surf til sunset.
Mimizan Plage to Seignosse 1 Day45 miles - Now you will really start to feel the surf culture in the air. It would be rude not to start the day with a 'dawnie' followed by a flat 45 miles in the saddle and hopefully a sunset surf in Seignosse.
Rest Day in Hossegor 1 DayHossegor is the capital of European Surfing and you will see why...
Seignosse to San Sebastian 1 Day55 Miles - After cycling through some of the most beautiful French and Spanish towns you can ever imagine we arrive in the unlikely city of sin. A night of tapas is well earned after this leg of the journey.
San Sebastian to Lekeitio 1 Day45 miles (very hard ride) - we up the ante here as we cycle from sunrise to sunset along some of the most undulating roads in the continent taking on some serious mountains. Make sure you have seconds of the porridge...
Lekietio to Bilbao 1 Day33 Miles (hard ride) - The crescendo is grueling but noticeably shorter than the previous days epic effort. We aim for a dawnie surf in Lekietio, the a day in the saddle before a final night of rich Spanish cuisine and World-class red wine. When in Rome!
Final Day 1 DayTransfers - Sadly all good things must come to an end, but you will need to stop after this epic surf and cycle adventure. We will be running transfers to Bilbao airport all day.
We can transport your bike if you drop it off to our Newquay or Exeter offices.
There will be laundry facilities at most camp sites. We tend to wash kit every 2 days.
France and Spain have some of the best naughty treats in the World, think cheese, bread, croissants, meat. However our in house chef can cater to any dietary requirements.
Traditional surf lessons aren’t on the itinerary and we do ask that surfers are competent in surfing on their own. However TTRide staff are qualified lifeguards and surf instructors and we will be all surfing together,so you will receive advice, tips and techniques all week from trained professionals.
We will provide all bike maintenance equipment in the support vehicle however you are required to bring any cycling clothing you may want to wear.
A general level of good fitness is required. You don’t have to be a cycle enthusiast, but be able to ride a bike and be up for a challenge.
Yes we will be bringing a quiver of surfboards with us in the support vehicle.
No bicycles aren't included as a cycle of this distance will require the rider to use a bike the ideal size for him/herself. As long as you are comfortable in the saddle we'll get you there.
Bike hire will be available in France upon arrival at an extra cost. Notify your sales agent upon booking and we'll make sure logistics are sorted on the ground.
