Kelly Winter comes from another surf rich country; Australia, where she started surfing as soon as she could walk! Kelly also started competing national from the age of 10. Over a decade of competitive surfing, Kelly quickly realized how important the element of flexibility was to up her surfing game, which is where her interest in yoga was born. Travelers who have completed the recommended doses of COVID-19 vaccination and arriving after 2 weeks of completion of vaccination will be considered as fully vaccinated travelers. Any vaccination type accepted by the country of origin is acceptable.

A fully vaccinated traveller must have a negative PCR test result within 72 hours of entering the country, then you can roam freely.

If you are unvaccinated you must spend stay at a Certified Safe & Secure L1 hotel/s for the first 15 days of the visit and undergo an on-arrival PCR test, followed by a 2nd PCR (Exit PCR) on Day 14.

So essentially it is easy to enter if you are fully vaccinated, and expensive and long if you are not.

All information on Level 1 Safe and Secure Hotels can be found here: https://www.srilanka.travel/helloagain/

Book a licenced transfer from the transfer desk at arrivals. The cars are fully insured and adhere to the current COVID-19 regulations set by the government. The price is set and the same price as haggling around on the ground. The return transfer we can help arrange from here and you will normally be able to share this cost with other travellers. Transfers are currently 11,000 LKR (approx £40) and take two hours.

Everyone traveling to Sri Lanka must have Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) for entering in to Sri Lanka. Visit www.eta.gov.lkfor more information.

Breakfast and five evening meals are included so you just need to budget for two evening meals out, lunch and alcohol. So your budget depends on your consumption of the above. A cocktail at the roof top bar costs around £3, a local curry costs around £2 and fancy western style meal will cost you between £5-£10. Massages cost between £20-£40, you can get full spa packages for around £50. Clothes shopping in Galle is also a must and most items are hand made locally so won't break the bank :)
